I believe meaningful therapy begins with feeling safe enough to be seen, heard, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, with an emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship and creating space for you to show up as you are.
For more than twenty years, I have worked with people across a variety of settings and life circumstances. I hold a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work, as well as a diploma in Child and Youth Work, and am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in Ontario. This breadth of experience has reinforced something I continue to believe deeply: there is no single approach that works for every person.
I work with individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, emotional regulation, chronic pain, stress and burnout, relationship concerns, grief and loss, identity, and significant life transitions. My practice draws from evidence-informed approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed and somatic approaches, with the work adapted to your needs, goals, pace, and what is most helpful for you.
I see therapy as something we do together. I bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, and support to the process while recognizing that you bring something equally important: your own experiences, strengths, and knowledge of yourself. Sometimes our work may involve developing practical skills or understanding patterns in a new way; other times it may mean slowing down, processing difficult experiences, or making room for something that hasn’t had a safe place to be explored.
My goal is not to fit you into a particular therapeutic model, but to meet you where you are and build an approach with you that supports where you want to go.
